dwcup main logoEstablished in 1940, the Democratic Women’s Club of Upper Pinellas County (DWCUP) has the distinction of being one the first Democratic Women’s Club in the USA! 
pinellas_mapDemocratic Women’s Clubs of Florida (DWCF) belong to one of nine regions. Located in Region V, the DWCUP shares a Region with Hillsborough, Hernando,  Pasco and Polk Counties. Each Region has a Region Chair and each County Club has a President.

Objectives of DWCUP

  • To bring together in common purpose all Democratic women of Upper Pinellas County.
  • To organize the registered Democratic women voters of Upper Pinellas County.
  • To study and promote the principles of the Democratic Party.
  • To encourage good citizenship by keeping members informed on current issues.
  • To stimulate in members an active interest in governmental affairs at the local, state and national levels.
  • To encourage the active participation of women in politics.
  • To support qualified Democratic candidates for public office, including raising funds to support Democratic nominees.
Members of the DWCUP actively volunteer throughout Pinellas County, with like-minded individuals, to support liberal/progressive candidates and causes.

Our Club meets the 4th Monday of each month at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Avenue, Clearwater, FL 33755-4083. Our General Membership Meeting is open to Democrats, citizens of Pinellas County, candidates for office in Pinellas County and the public.    
Networking/Social Time/Lunch:  11:30 am to 12:00 Noon
Meeting:  12:00 Noon  (Light lunch available for a $5.00 donation) 
We support Democratic Candidates running in Pinellas County!  Please coordinate with our President, Donna Dennis, if you wish to address our Club.
